What is MYOB Acumatica?

One system for your whole operation

MYOB Acumatica (formerly MYOB Advanced) is a cloud ERP platform built for Australian mid-market businesses. Finance, payroll, inventory, project accounting, distribution, manufacturing, and CRM all run in one database. No exports between systems. No double-entry.

MYOB rebranded the platform from MYOB Advanced to MYOB Acumatica in 2024, aligning it with the global Acumatica ecosystem. The technology is the same: if you've been using MYOB Advanced, you're already on MYOB Acumatica.

Most businesses move to MYOB Acumatica when they've hit the ceiling of what Xero or MYOB AccountRight can do. That usually means multiple entities, locations, or warehouses, payroll at scale, or project-level financial control that a basic accounting tool can't provide. If you are weighing that move now, our ERP migration guide covers what actually moves, what it costs, and how to decide.

What the platform covers

  • Financial management, general ledger, multi-entity, multi-currency
  • Australian payroll, STP Phase 2, superannuation, leave management
  • Inventory, purchasing, and order management
  • Project accounting and job costing
  • Distribution and manufacturing (MRP, production orders)
  • CRM, service management, and customer portal
  • Real-time reporting and dashboards
  • Hosted on AWS within Australia

Australian compliance

Built for Australian payroll and tax obligations

STP Phase 2

Single Touch Payroll Phase 2 reporting is built in. Pay event data reports directly to the ATO each pay run, covering all required income stream types.

Superannuation Guarantee

The current super guarantee rate is calculated and applied automatically. SuperStream-compliant contributions can be submitted directly from the platform.

Payday Super (from July 2026)

From 1 July 2026, employers must pay super within 7 business days of each pay date. MYOB Acumatica supports this requirement natively.

BAS, GST, and PAYG

BAS preparation, GST reporting, and PAYG withholding are built into the financials module with Australian-specific tax codes and ATO reporting formats.

Using MYOB Exo Payroll? Your window has already closed.

MYOB Exo Employer Services (Exo Payroll) reached its license renewal deadline in November 2025. Tax rates and compliance thresholds stop updating in October 2026, after which the payroll module becomes non-compliant for STP, super, and ATO reporting. Note: MYOB Exo Business (the financials and operations side) is not end of life and remains supported. If your organisation is running Exo Payroll and hasn't started planning a replacement, you're running out of time. See your migration options or talk to us directly.

FAQ

MYOB Acumatica: questions we get asked regularly

What is MYOB Acumatica, and how is it different from MYOB AccountRight?

MYOB AccountRight is an accounting tool designed for small businesses. It handles invoicing, bank feeds, payroll, and basic reporting well. MYOB Acumatica is a full ERP platform for mid-market businesses that need more: multiple entities, multi-warehouse inventory, project accounting, manufacturing, and advanced reporting. Most businesses move from AccountRight to Acumatica when AccountRight's reporting or multi-entity limitations start causing real problems.

How much does MYOB Acumatica cost in Australia?

MYOB licenses Acumatica per named user and quotes licensing directly for each business, so we will not publish a licence price that may be wrong by the time you read it. Implementation is a separate cost and depends on scope: FastStart Wholesale Distribution is a fixed-scope 12 week program, and broader implementations are scoped after discovery. We have written a full guide to what MYOB Acumatica costs in Australia, and a 30 minute consultation will get you a realistic all-in range for your situation.

Is Auboros a certified MYOB Acumatica partner?

Yes. Auboros is an Official MYOB Acumatica Partner in Australia. We implement, customise, develop, and support MYOB Acumatica for businesses across Queensland and the rest of Australia. Our team includes certified MYOB Acumatica consultants with hands-on implementation experience across multiple industries.

What is the FastStart Wholesale Distribution program?

FastStart is a fixed-scope, fixed-timeline implementation program for businesses that fit a standard industry profile. Auboros delivers FastStart Wholesale Distribution, which covers core financials, inventory, purchasing, and sales order management. The target go-live is 12 weeks. Scope and price are defined upfront, which removes the uncertainty that makes standard ERP projects stressful.

Does MYOB Acumatica handle Australian payroll compliance?

Yes. MYOB Acumatica includes built-in Australian payroll. Single Touch Payroll (STP) Phase 2 reporting is handled natively, with pay event data submitting directly to the ATO each pay run. The current superannuation guarantee rate is applied automatically and SuperStream-compliant contributions can be submitted from within the platform. MYOB Acumatica also supports the Payday Super changes taking effect on 1 July 2026, which require super contributions within 7 business days of each pay date.

I'm still on MYOB Exo. Do I need to move, and when?

It depends on which part of Exo you are on. MYOB Exo Business (financials and operations) is not end of life and remains supported. MYOB Exo Employer Services (Exo Payroll) is a different matter: license renewals stopped in November 2025 and tax compliance updates stop in October 2026, after which the payroll module becomes non-compliant. If you are running Exo Payroll, you need to have moved to a replacement payroll solution before October 2026. A payroll migration typically takes 2 to 4 months.

Can MYOB Acumatica be customised for our workflows?

Yes. MYOB Acumatica can be configured and customised to reflect your specific approval workflows, reporting requirements, and operational processes. Auboros builds custom integrations with third-party platforms, develops industry-specific functionality, and creates tailored dashboards for different user roles. Customisations are built in a way that survives platform upgrades.

Is there a MYOB Acumatica partner on the Gold Coast?

There are very few ERP partners with a genuine Queensland presence. Most national MYOB Acumatica partners are headquartered in Sydney or Melbourne. Auboros is based in Brisbane and works with businesses across the Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Toowoomba, and regional Queensland. If you need a local team rather than a fly-in consultant, we are the closest specialist MYOB Acumatica partner with hands-on Queensland delivery experience.

How does MYOB Acumatica compare to Odoo for an Australian business?

Both are capable mid-market ERP platforms with strong Australian compliance coverage. MYOB Acumatica is a more mature platform for complex financial management, particularly multi-entity consolidation, project accounting, and distribution. Odoo tends to suit businesses that want more flexibility to customise, are comfortable with open-source software, or want a broader range of modules under one licence. Auboros implements both, which means we can give you a straight answer about which one fits your situation better. We have written a full Odoo vs MYOB Acumatica comparison.

Ready to see if MYOB Acumatica fits your business?

We work with mid-market businesses in Brisbane, the Gold Coast, regional Queensland, and across Australia. A free consultation takes about 30 minutes and gives you a clear picture of what an implementation would involve.
