Auboros Foundations: fixed-price Odoo, live in 4 weeks

Auboros Foundations is Auboros’ fixed-price Odoo implementation: kick-off to go-live in 4 weeks, from A$10,000 ex GST. Every project gets its own fixed-price quote after a free 1-hour scoping call. The base scope is one legal entity and one warehouse on standard Odoo, with your master data, opening stock, open documents and monthly movements brought across. Extra features are quoted separately, and Odoo bills licences directly.

New to Odoo? Starting with a fixed scope and a clear plan is the easiest way to avoid a costly rescue project later.

A fixed price and a fixed date only work with a fixed scope. Here's exactly what's in, what's out, and when a bigger package is the better buy.

What do you get for A$10,000?

From A$10,000 ex GST pays for our implementation work on the base scope. It does not include Odoo licences, which you buy from Odoo. For that, we set up standard Odoo for one legal entity and one warehouse, make minor field additions, set up your accounting, connect your bank feeds, train your key users, support you for 30 days after go-live, and bring across your customers, suppliers, products and opening stock with your open invoices, open sales orders, open purchase orders and monthly movements. Extra features are quoted separately and added to your fixed-price quote before you sign, and requests that come up during the project go on a parked list for a second phase. That is how we hold the price and the date.

Implementation and training are delivered remotely. If you need us onsite, we'll quote that separately, and travel may add to the cost. We don't clean up data as part of Auboros Foundations: we give you import templates and run the import of your legacy data, and if your data needs cleaning first, we'll discuss it with you and scope it separately.

Can Odoo really go live in 4 weeks?

Yes, for one legal entity and one warehouse on standard Odoo, bringing across open documents and monthly movements, not every past transaction. The GAP Analysis, where we compare how you work with what standard Odoo does, happens inside the week 1 kick-off; Odoo's Implementation Methodology guide folds it in this way on short projects. And custom work waits for a second phase.

The same guide uses a rule of thumb of about 2 weeks per app on a typical project. That is why Auboros Foundations stays on standard setup and everything outside it is parked. We use the rule to set the scope, and it says nothing certain about your own project.

Some buyers hear "4 weeks" and expect a trial setup. Auboros Foundations puts the agreed scope into live daily use from week 4, so your team raises its quotes, purchase orders and invoices in Odoo. The parked list is part of the plan from day one. For general timelines on bigger projects, read our guide on how long an Odoo implementation takes.

The 4-week plan, week by week

The phase names are Odoo's own, from its Quickstart methodology and Implementation Methodology guide. Each week sets out what we do and what you do.

Before week 1: what to have ready

You name your project lead, who Odoo calls the SPoC (single point of contact), and a key user for each area. You export customers, suppliers, products, opening stock, open invoices, open sales and purchase orders and monthly movements from Xero and your other apps into our templates. The 4 weeks start at kick-off once this data is ready. You confirm the go-live date and the opening balance date with your accountant.

Week 1: Kick-Off and GAP Analysis

We run the kick-off session, walk through how you sell, buy, receive and invoice today, and map each step to standard Odoo. We write the scope list, split into live now and parked. We create your Odoo database, set up your one company and one warehouse, and set up your accounting: chart of accounts, GST and BAS reporting.

Your project lead makes decisions on the spot and starts Odoo's eLearning. Your team cleans the exports.

Week 2: Implementation, first cycle

We configure standard Odoo out of the box, make the minor field additions agreed in week 1, connect your bank feeds and run a first import of your data. At the end of the week we demo it on your own data.

Your project lead runs each flow on screen. Key users try their own steps and list what does not match.

Week 3: Implementation, second cycle and testing

We fix what week 2 found, train your key users and run end-to-end tests: quote to cash, purchase to pay, receive to stock, and month-end. We rehearse the final data import and work through a go/no-go checklist with you.

Key users test with real documents and sign off. Your project lead plans the end-user training.

Week 4: Go-Live

We import the final open invoices, open sales and purchase orders and monthly movements, switch Odoo on and fix issues the same day. After a few days we check that the old system and spreadsheets have closed.

Your project lead runs end-user training with us supporting remotely, and everyone works in Odoo from the first day.

About a month later: Second Deployment

Together we review the parked list with a month of real use behind it. Some items drop off because the team no longer needs them. We quote anything you still want. Our 30 days of post-go-live support run up to this review.

What does Odoo charge per user for licences?

Odoo licences are not part of the A$10,000. Odoo bills them to you directly, so this section is here for transparency, to help you budget the full cost. For full detail, see our guide to Odoo pricing in Australia.

Light users, with limited back-end access, cost A$12.90 per user per month. Monthly billing costs more than yearly billing on every paid plan. Source: odoo.com/pricing, Australian pricelist, seen 30 October 2026. The first-year price applies for 12 months to the users ordered at signing. Odoo changes its prices from time to time, so check the current figures before you sign.

A worked example for 10 full users, billed yearly, ex GST:

  • Standard: A$4,128 in the first year (10 x A$34.40 x 12) and A$5,160 a year from month 13 (10 x A$43.00 x 12).
  • Custom: A$7,680 in the first year (10 x A$64.00 x 12) and A$9,600 a year from month 13 (10 x A$80.00 x 12).

Billed monthly, the same 10 users on Standard cost A$5,184 in the first year (10 x A$43.20 x 12), and on Custom A$9,600 (10 x A$80.00 x 12).

Odoo.sh hosting applies to the Custom plan only, ex GST, per month: A$88.00 per worker, A$0.30 per GB of storage and A$21.60 per staging environment. The smallest setup (1 worker, 1 GB, 1 staging environment) is A$109.90 a month. Standard runs on Odoo Online, and on-premise hosting has no Odoo hosting fee. Odoo's own example, 1 Custom user in the first year with Odoo.sh, is A$173.90 a month (A$80.00 less the A$16.00 first-year discount, plus A$109.90). Odoo also sells Success Packs, prepaid blocks of consultant hours, from A$777.75 for 4 hours (new customer) to A$37,000 for 200 hours (returning customer), as reported in our post in August 2026. A pack is a block of hours, and Auboros Foundations is a fixed scope on a fixed date.

Who is Auboros Foundations for?

✓ It suits you if

  • You have outgrown Xero: stock, purchasing or job costs sit in spreadsheets or add-ons, and month-end means reconciling several systems.
  • You trade through one legal entity and run stock from one warehouse.
  • A new CFO or Financial Controller is reviewing your systems and wants a fixed cost, a fixed date and a phased plan to put to the owners.
  • Your processes are standard for your industry, and you will adopt how Odoo works now and refine later.
  • One person on your side can lead the project and make decisions within a day.

If you are still weighing up moving from Xero or AccountRight to an ERP, start there.

✕ Pick a bigger package if

  • You need custom development, manufacturing or integrations before you can trade.
  • You run more than one legal entity, or you have bought another business that stays a separate company.
  • You run more than one warehouse, or you are opening a second site.
  • You need historical transaction detail inside Odoo, not monthly movements.
  • Nobody can be freed up to lead the project for the 4 weeks.
  • You have more than 10 users.

The next step up is our Simple setup from A$20,000 ex GST, a fuller package than Auboros Foundations. Our full packages and their price bands are on our Odoo implementation cost in Australia page.

Fixed price or time and materials: which protects you?

Every Auboros Foundations project gets its own fixed-price quote, starting from A$10,000 ex GST. You know the cost and the date before you start, and the risk of the agreed scope running over sits with us. The trade-off is that the scope is fixed, so changes wait for the parked list.

On time and materials, the scope can move and the cost depends on the hours used. That suits projects where requirements are still unclear. Odoo's Success Packs are prepaid hours, so they behave like time and materials with a cap on what you prepay.

How do you get a fixed-price quote?

Start with a free 1-hour scoping call, with no commitment. We walk through how you sell, buy, stock and invoice, check that you fit one entity and one warehouse on standard Odoo, and list any extra features you need. The call ends with a fixed-price quote written for your business.

The free scoping call is different from our paid Discovery and Scoping engagement, which starts from A$5,000 ex GST and runs 2 to 6 weeks for larger or less clear projects. Most businesses that fit Auboros Foundations only need the free call.

What happens if you need something outside the scope?

It goes on the parked list for the Second Deployment, about a month after go-live. If something has to come into the 4 weeks, something of a similar size comes out, or we give you a fixed price for the change before we start it.

Once Odoo is live and your data is in good shape, you can add AI agents for ERP in Australia to draft orders, matches and supplier follow-ups for a person to approve. You can read how we run Odoo projects on our Odoo partner in Brisbane page.

FAQ

Common questions about Auboros Foundations

How much is a fixed-price Odoo implementation with Auboros?

From A$10,000 ex GST for our implementation services on Auboros Foundations: one legal entity, one warehouse, standard setup, live in 4 weeks. Each project gets its own fixed-price quote after a free 1-hour scoping call, and extra features are quoted separately. Odoo licences are not included. Odoo bills them separately, from A$34.40 per user per month on Standard for the first year billed yearly, or A$43.20 billed monthly (odoo.com, 30 October 2026). Larger scopes start with our Simple setup from A$20,000 ex GST, then our published packages.

Can Odoo go live in 4 weeks?

Yes, for one legal entity and one warehouse on standard Odoo, with open documents and monthly movements brought across. The analysis happens in week 1, two build-and-test cycles follow, and go-live is week 4. Custom work is parked for a second phase about a month after go-live.

Do we have to bring our Xero history into Odoo?

No. Auboros Foundations brings across your customers, suppliers, products and opening stock, plus your open invoices, open sales orders, open purchase orders and monthly movements, not every past transaction. Odoo's own implementation guide advises against importing full history because it costs a lot for little value. Historical transaction detail can be quoted separately.

What do we need to do during the 4 weeks?

Name one person who can make decisions and train your team, give each area a key user to test, and fill in the data templates before week 1. Your project lead joins each weekly session and tests between sessions.

What if we need something that is not in the scope?

It goes on a parked list that we review about a month after go-live. If it has to be live in week 4, we swap it for something of a similar size or quote the change before we start it.

Do you clean up our data before importing it?

No, data clean-up is not included. We give you import templates and run the import of your legacy data. If your data needs cleaning first, we'll discuss it with you and scope it separately.

Is Auboros Foundations delivered onsite or remotely?

Implementation and training are delivered remotely. If you need us onsite, we'll quote that separately, and travel may add to the cost.
